Foiling Vs Balayage
The saga continues between foiling and balayage. I am continuously surprised about the either or situation arising between foils and balayage.
Hairdressers need to be proficient at both techniques. I asked some of my clients why they still choose foils (other than taking my recommendation)? One Accounting Professional told me that she felt foils blends more with her natural base colour than balayage, resulting in a more even distribution of lighting. She also said she felt her look seems more meticulous which reflects her attitude and work ethic.
I found this information interesting and valuable, particularly for sales and marketing purposes. As a business owner I listened to my clients and stay current.
The much deserved hype around balayage is embedded in that natural sun-kissed look sweeping the world.
It’s low maintenance, bespoke look, natural, and modern technique is flattering, looks healthy and makes for attractive hair and that’ll never go out of fashion.
So, Balayage gives a gorgeous healthy finish that looks nature-enhanced, glossy and expensive, whilst easy to maintain and grows out beautifully. It can be natural or strong, whatever you want, it’s all about the application technique.
